      <image:caption>Julie has been a part of the Charmette family since 1998 and a faculty member since 2016. As a student, she was a member of the Stars of Tomorrow dance company, winning numerous regional and national group awards. She graduated from Mizzou where she taught dance through Center Stage Dance, a program that provides free dance education to children of Columbia, MO. Julie is wife to husband Nick and mom to Dory, Cole, Simon, Sommer and Conrad. She also teaches science at St. Joseph's Academy, an all-girl college preparatory high school. Even on days she is not teaching, you will often find Julie at the studio with her daughters Dory and Sommer. She is excited to share her love of dance with the next generation of Charmette students!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Maggi Geisz</image:title>
      <image:caption>Mrs. Maggi Geisz has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been involved with Charmette for 32 years—15 years as a student under the direction of Angie Klevorn and Margie Rowe and 17 years as teacher and choreographer. She is also an Assistant Director of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company. In her time dancing at Charmette and competing with the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company, Miss Maggi received numerous overall and Title awards, scholarships, cash prizes, and special awards. She was awarded Petite, Junior, and Teen Miss Dance of St. Louis as well as Junior and Teen Miss Dance of America Most Talented Non-Finalist. As a choreographer, her numbers have received many high scores and other awards regionally, as well as nationally. Furthering her knowledge of dance and teaching has become a passion for Miss Maggi. She has had the privilege of training with professionals through Dance Masters of America, Broadway Dance Center, the Millenium Dance Complex, The Edge, and teachers including Dennis Caspary, Sheila Barker, Patrice Barakat-Corral and Nikki Snelson. She has performed at Walt Disney World, The MUNY, Variety Club telethon, television commercials, Destination Dance, and Off Broadway productions. She enjoys traveling the country as a choreographer, master teacher, and judge. Miss Maggi attended the University of Tennessee and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at UT, she was a member of the 5-Time Universal Dance Association National Champion Dance Team. She was also featured in the 2009 Monday Night Football commercial on ESPN with the UT Dance Team. After graduating from UT, Miss Maggi went on to work and perform with the Walt Disney World Entertainment Department in Orlando, Florida. Miss Maggi is a member of Chapter #21 St. Louis Dancing Teachers Association of Dance Masters of America. In 2014, she earned her Master of Arts in School Counseling K-12 and served as an Elementary School Counselor in the Lindbergh School District for 8 years. During her time at Lindbergh, Miss Maggi was also the Head Coach of the Lindbergh Flyerettes Dance Team for 4 years and remains a consultant and choreographer for the program. Recently, she completed the requirements to earn her Professional Counseling License and is planning to continue her counseling career in a private practice setting.  In her free time, Miss Maggi enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her two children, Arthur and Maisie, as well as their two dogs, JJ and Peach.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Amanda’s love for dance started at age 3 in 1985, when her mom decided to put her in dance class at Charmette Academy of Dance. Amanda loved dance from that moment on and she continued on at Charmette till she graduated high school. In those fifteen years Amanda competed in countless competitions both regional and national, she assisted teaching and she was on the Northwest High School Varsity Dance Team. After High School Amanda received her BA in Interior Design at SIBA.  For the past 12 years, Amanda has been working for BJC Healthcare as a HIM Senior Specialist.  Amanda has an 8-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter who also shares her love for dance.  Amanda loves being able to share her passion for dance each and every week with her students!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Angie Klevorn</image:title>
      <image:caption>Miss Angie Klevorn has been a part of Charmette Academy of Dance &amp; Acrobatics inc. for over 50 years. Her passion for dance started at the age of five and has never left. She has been Teacher, Co-Owner and Director for the past 26 years. She received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Webster University. She grew up as a Charmette Juniorette and the St Charles Civic Ballet Company. She is a 35 + year member of Dance Masters of America. She is Co-Director and Choreographer for Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company that performs and competes regionally and nationally. Her students have appeared on Broadway, television, Disney, Las Vegas, Cruise Ships, Gus Giordano, pop star tours and college dance teams.  Miss Angie continues her education and love of dance as a judge for regional and national dance competitions throughout the United States. When Miss Angie isn’t teaching she can be found at her family owned business, Award Specialties in Kimmswick. Her mother started the Award Specialties in 1982 and since 2013; Miss Angie has been proud to run the family-owned business with her brother and carry on the family name in the award business. Award Specialties supplies plaques, trophies, crystal, acrylics, corporate awards and promotional items.   Miss Angie is most proud of her family. She has been married to her husband Russ for more than 27 years and they are the proud parents of their daughters, Danielle and Chloe. Both girls grew up at Charmette as dancers and competed in the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company, as well as assistant teachers. Danielle graduated from Missouri State University where she was a member of the Sugar Bear Dance Team. Miss Angie is thrilled to work alongside Danielle who is now an assistant director at Charmette. Following in Danielle's footsteps, Chloe is currently a senior at MSU and a member of the Sugar Bear Dance Team.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Allison Markus</image:title>
      <image:caption>Miss Allison (Taylor) Markus has been a part of Charmette since the year 2000. She was a student under Miss Margie Rowe and Miss Angie Klevorn, a member of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company for 7 years and has been a member of the staff since 2012. Miss Allison is also an Assistant Director of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company. While a dancer at Charmette, Miss Allison placed in the top 10 numerous times both regionally and nationally. Miss Allison was a part of award winning duos, trios, and groups. Throughout her competitive career, Miss Allison has had the privilege to work with several choreographers, including Dennis Caspary, Patrice Barakat, Lezley Farmer, and Nikki Snelson. As a choreographer, Miss Allison has had several top 10 dances at regionals as well as nationals. In 2021, she received a choreography award for “They Weren’t There,” senior lyrical small group choreographed with Miss Erin. Miss Allison is a graduate of Missouri State University. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in mathematics. While at Missouri State, she was a four year member of the Sugar Bears Dance Team. During her four years on the team, the Sugar Bears had five top five finishes at nationals in jazz and hip hop, including a third place finish in 2011 in the Division 1 jazz category. Miss Allison is also employed by the Universal Dance Association as a dance instructor. She spends her summers traveling the region and working at dance team camps. She has even had the opportunity to travel abroad with UDA and work the New Year’s Day parade in both London and Rome. She has had the privilege to work with and choreograph for many nationally ranked dance teams and has been able to spread her love for dance to even more young dancers! Miss Allison found her love of teaching and dancing at a young age and she is so happy she can share that with all the dancers at Charmette. She works full time at Bowles Elementary in the Rockwood School District. She is also the Head Coach of the Marquette Mystique Dance Team. Miss Allison married her wonderful husband, Joey, in September 2020.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Miss Erin Taylor has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been involved with Charmette since 2000—5 years as a student under the direction of Angie Klevorn and Margie Rowe and 4 years as a guest teacher and choreographer while in college. Since 2009, she has been a full time teacher and choreographer at Charmette and she is also an Assistant Director of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company. In her time dancing with Charmette and competing with the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company, Miss Erin received numerous regional and national awards with her solos, duos, and groups. Among her solo awards are 2004 Miss Dance of St. Louis Most Talented Non-Finalist, invitations to Starpower's Power Pak Tour from 2003-2005, and 1st runner up to Miss Starpower 2005. She also has had the great privilege of working with choreographers Dennis Caspary, Patrice Barakat, Nikki Snelson, Andrew Palermo, and recently, Dee Caspary. Miss Erin still enjoys taking classes from many award-winning teachers and choreographers and finds inspiration in training with such talented individuals. As a choreographer, Miss Erin’s numbers have received many high scores and other awards. In 2010, her routine “You Do Something to Me” was recognized as the highest scoring Large Group of the weekend at PrimeTime. She has received choreography awards for her pieces “Ice Sculptures” and “I Try”, and “Can’t Turn You Loose”, “Move a Little Faster”, and “By A Thread”, choreographed with Miss Allison, “Losing My Religion” and “Forever &amp; Always”, choreographed with Miss Maggi, “New World Order”, choreographed with Miss Maggi and Miss Angie, “Party”, choreographed with Miss Maggi and Miss Allison, as well as productions “Queen” and “I Heart NY” with all directors of the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company. Miss Erin graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a major in Dance with an emphasis in Modern. There, she performed works by many choreographers, including Battlefield by Robert Battle, and understudied works by Folkine and Balanchine. She also choreographed works for Informal Dance Concerts as well as her own Senior Dance Concert. From 2006-2007, she was a member/choreographer of the Unleashed Dance Company which performed locally in Kansas City. Also in 2007, she performed in Thin Air Theatrics production of the musical Jekyll and Hyde. Miss Erin also has experience in stage production as a stage manager for performances by Wylliams-Henry Contemporary Danse Theatre, Donna Miceli’s Dance Center in Boston, and numerous UMKC Recitals. While she was in Kansas City, Miss Erin worked at Jody Phillips Dance Company where she taught classes and choreographed for their competition team. Her soloists as well as duos and groups received many Top 10 and Overall High Score awards. From 2010-2011, she was a member of Common Thread Contemporary Dance, a new company in St. Louis under the artistic direction of Jennifer Medina. Miss Erin is a member of Chapter #21 St. Louis Dancing Teachers Association of Dance Masters of America. She is also a certified Zumba instructor. Outside of Charmette, she is the Varsity Head Coach of the Silver Stars Dance Team at Rockwood Summit High School. In her tenure, the Silver Stars Dance Team has won choreography awards for “Assassins” with Bridgette Fletcher and “With A Little Help from My Friends” with Sam Knight as well as high scores in regional and state level competitions. They are back to back 4A Missouri State Champions. Miss Erin also is the communication specialist at Rockwood Summit High School and does choreography for their show choir. She is thrilled to continue to be a part of Charmette and hopes to inspire other young people to be passionate about dance and their futures!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Crystal Brown</image:title>
      <image:caption>Crystal Brown grew up in St. Louis where she began dancing at Charmette Academy of Dance. She then joined their competition team competing regionally and nationally in many dance competitions across the US. Crystal was fortunate enough to be trained by some of the leading professionals in her industry, such as Robert Reed, Corey Finn, Mark Goodman, Avi Miller, Ofer Ben, and many more. In 2011, she decided to take her dream to Los Angeles, where she became part of The FYV (Find Your Voice) tap company! Crystal was able to expand her knowledge in the tap world by learning from many amazing dancers.She then decided she wanted to work her way into the fitness industry. That is when Crystal enrolled at Southern California Health Institute. There she earned herself a Personal Training Certification. After finishing she was able to land a job at Cardio Barre in Studio City, CA as a barre instructor. In 2017 she moved back to St. Louis and continued teaching barre in the surrounding St. Louis area. She is excited to share all that she has learned through the years with everyone!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Julia Stelmach</image:title>
      <image:caption>Julia began dancing at the age of three. A native of the Chicago suburbs, Julia has numerous years of dance training and choreography experience. She grew up competing in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet and hip hop in the Chicago area and nationally. During that time, Julia also performed at and attended Summer Intensives with The Milwaukee Ballet &amp; Ballet Met, Columbus, Ohio. In high school, she was a four year varsity dance team member and two year team captain who choreographed during that time.  Julia holds her B.A. in Dance Performance as well as Speech &amp; Hearing Science from the University of Iowa. She also attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to complete her Doctorate in Audiology. While attending Iowa, Julia performed numerous times with the Iowa Dance Department, including Iowa’s Dance Gala. Prior to moving to St. Louis, Julia was a choreographer and performing member of Outlet Dance Company in suburban Chicago. Julia brings many years of experience as she has taught various styles of dance to students of all ages. She began teaching while in college at Iowa and also spent five years with Universal Dance Association as an instructor. While in Champaign, IL, Julia was a faculty member with Art in Motion Dance Studio. Upon returning to the Chicago area, Julia taught at The Center for Dance. She has been an Illinois High School Association (IHSA) dance official since 2009 and also judges for Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA.) In addition to her dance career, Julia is an Audiologist at SluCare Physician Group. Julia loves being part of the Charmette family and truly enjoys sharing her passion of dance with others!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Danielle Klevorn</image:title>
      <image:caption>Danielle grew up dancing at Charmette, beginning at age 3. She joined Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company at age 5 and competed through high school. Throughout her years at Charmette, Danielle received many placements in the top 10 along with title awards. She was awarded Petite Miss Dance of Saint Louis in 2008, and Teen Miss Dance of Saint Louis in 2013. After graduation from Notre Dame High School, Danielle went on to dance at Missouri State University as a Sugar Bear where she was a four-year team member and captain for two years. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a minor in communications.  Danielle is passionate about teaching and choreographing just like her mom, Miss Angie. After graduation, she returned to Charmette as an Assistant Director and choreographer. She also serves as the Varsity Head Coach for the Kirkwood High School dance team. Charmette has been and will always be Danielle’s second home. She enjoys watching dancers achieve their goals where she once was able to achieve her own.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Lydia Piekarski</image:title>
      <image:caption>Lydia Piekarski been involved with Charmette Academy of Dance since 2011, when she started taking classes at age 9. A year later, she joined the Stars of Tomorrow dance company, under the direction of Miss Margie Rowe and Miss Angie Klevorn. During her time at Charmette, she competed regionally and nationally, receiving several top 10 placements, awards, titles, and scholarships. Lydia began assistant teaching at Charmette at the age of 13, and since graduating from Lindbergh High School in 2020, she continued to assist and began teaching classes at Charmette.  Lydia is currently pursuing her BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Modern at Webster University. Outside of her classes at Webster, she also enjoys taking classes from many well-respected dance teachers in the St. Louis area. Throughout her dance career, she has taken classes at COCA, The Big Muddy Dance Company, and Resilience Dance Company. As well as teaching at Charmette, Lydia works at the St. Louis Public Library as a materials assistant.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Carrie Ikemeier</image:title>
      <image:caption>Carrie grew up in Bethalto, Illinois. Her love for dance and gymnastics began at just two years old when she began taking lessons. She was a competitive tumbler for several years competing at state and national levels for USTA. She continued her gymnastics journey by competing at compulsory and optional levels in artistic gymnastics for Mid-Illinois Gymnastics and Dance, Inc. Carrie went on to enjoy a successful career in competitive cheerleading. She was the captain of her cheerleading team in high school and a three-time NCA All-American cheerleader. She competed in local and state championships.  Building on her love for tumbling and desire to make an impact, she went into coaching and gymnastics instruction. After college she was the head coach of a middle school competitive cheerleading team that won several regional championships. She taught beginner and intermediate gymnastics classes at both Mid-Illinois Gymnastics and Dance, Inc. and World Class Gymnastics.  Carrie is a first grade teacher in the Kirkwood School District. She treasures the opportunity to educate and influence the next generation of leaders. Her greatest passion is working with children. When she is not teaching, Carrie loves to spend time with her husband and kids, Jude and Eliza.  Carrie believes that involving kids in extracurricular activities builds confidence, resilience, discipline, and self-agency. She is so excited to share her enthusiasm for teaching and tumbling with Charmette students.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Mary Grace Wiedt</image:title>
      <image:caption>Mary Grace was born and raised in St. Louis where she grew up dancing competitively. During her senior year of high school, she attended Webster University for a semester training under Xi “Cecillia” Zhao, Michael Uthoff, and Maggi Dueker. After high school, Mary Grace attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York where she trained in Cunningham, Limón, Graham, Horton, Butoh, Gaga, Nikolais, O’Donnell, Taylor, Improvisation, Composition, and many other techniques/styles. During her time at Marymount, she performed works by Crystal Pite, Andrea Miller, Jose Limón, and Ohad Naharin. In New York, she was also fortunate to be featured in an original work choreographed by Jenn Freeman for the Steps on Broadway Choreographer’s Showcase. In addition to her training at Marymount, Mary Grace attended numerous intensives and workshops, working with choreographers such as Sidra Bell, Sonya Tayeh and AnoukVan Dijk. She graduated Marymount May 2023 Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Shortly after graduating she began a master’s in education from Lindenwood University. In addition to dancing and performing, Mary Grace has a large passion for teaching and choreography. She has set numerous works around the St. Louis area, as well as other studios around the country. Her body of work aims to encompass her past, present, and future while drawing inspiration from vigor, tenacity, and dynamic range. In addition to teaching at Charmette Academy of dance, Mary Grace teaches dance for MADCO, Renee Johnson’s Dance Studio and Webster University.       <image:caption>From a young age, Marissa has been passionate about movement and performance. She began dancing at 3 years old and added gymnastics to her training at age 5. In middle school, she discovered her love for cheerleading, which quickly became a central part of her athletic and performance journey. Marissa spent several years training and competing in a variety of dance styles at the Academy of Fine Arts in Columbia, MO, before shifting her focus to classical ballet at Halcyone Perlman. Her dedication to both technique and artistry laid a strong foundation for her future in both dance and cheer. At the University of Missouri-Columbia, Marissa was a member of the cheerleading team for four years and proudly served as team captain. During her college summers, she worked with the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), teaching cheerleading camps and leading stunt clinics throughout the region. Marissa has enjoyed watching her daughter, Lola’s passion for dance and competition flourish at Charmette. She is excited to help students grow in skill, confidence, and passion.</image:caption>
